Calling all intercessors: Cobblestone Community Church
“Wake up the intercessors and join with them.” Some days ago I scribbled this sentence into my journal. I believe the time has come! I want to encourage the praying saints of Cobblestone to renew their efforts. Don’t grow tired in the work. Arise and cry out to God with a renewed vigor. Join together in praying for revival, a conviction of sin, and the Kingdom and its King in our midst.
Someone might ask, “How do I know if I am an intercessor?” In that all Christians are called to pray, please come if you feel led at all. Secondly, I think some signs might already be present in your life. Do you wake up in the middle of the night with an urgency to pray? Do you regularly feel “a burden” to pray for specific people or topics? Has God given you revelation (dreams, prophecy), but you don’t know what to do with it? All of these could be signs that God has placed a calling on you to position yourself as a prayer warrior, those called to be watchmen and intercessors.
John Wesley once said, “God does nothing except in response to believing prayer.” I believe that organizing and planning our prayer ministry will be the next step. As such, I want to invite you to do two things:
- Fill the prayer room on Sundays. Starting at 8 AM you can pray until service begins. Join in at any point.
- Start praying now, and plan to attend the Prayer Ministry team meeting on October 4, 5:30 p.m.
The future is bright. The Kingdom is at hand. I am grateful for each of you and look forward to what God will do through a people surrendered in humble prayer.
JOIN US FOR PRAYER AND WORSHIP 7PM TO 8:30PM. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME.
