Worship Ministry

Psalm 27:1-6
The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. Though an army deploy against me, my heart is not afraid; though war break out against me, still I am confident. I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple. For He will conceal me in His shelter in the day of adversity; He will hide me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high on a rock. Then my head will be high above my enemies around me; I will offer sacrifices in His tent with shouts of joy. I will sing and make music to the Lord.

“OUR HEAVENLY FATHER LOVES US WITH EXTRAVAGANT ABANDON.    PASSIONATE, UNDIGNIFIED WORSHIP IS OUR ONLY REASONABLE RESPONSE.”

Passionate worship is one of the highest priorities at Cobblestone Community Church. We want to be a worshiping church. We want our worship to please God, engage every worshiper, and invite skeptics and seekers into the experience.

We believe that it’s possible to provide a weekly time of celebrating God that both energizes Christ-followers AND enlightens seekers. After all, the vast majority of us would say that we’re searching for “spirituality.” No one wants a “worship-free” church experience! We want to encounter God when we gather, we want to pour out our hearts to him and respond to him, and we want our friends and neighbors who haven’t yet discovered new life in Christ to be able to come in, feel comfortable, see a few people they know, watch what’s going on,  begin to participate and, upon leaving, be able to say, “I’m not sure I understand what I felt this morning….but I’m sure going to keep coming back until I do!”
